AI self-checkout, POS and payments in one box. 43 stations went live at Kia Center in under 72 hours.
Feeding a crowd in a rush? VisioLab. Running a convenience store? Mashgin.
VisioLab is AI self-checkout built for the rush. It needs a fraction of the counter space Mashgin’s checkout takes and runs 65 stations at Kia Center for the Orlando Magic. And on Mashgin’s own numbers, our annual plan costs less once card processing is counted.

An iPad on a mount, not a piece of furniture. It fits on counters and in corners Mashgin’s checkout can’t use.
Standard power outlets and a network connection are all it needs, so any counter with power can become a checkout.
At about 26 lb, one person carries it. Move a station between stands, or into space that never sold anything.
Even Mashgin says not every spot fits its hardware. For “spots where a kiosk or Power Counter doesn’t fit,” it is adding a cashier-run register. 12 We put the AI checkout there.
“After the first game, I was like, I got to move this stand.”
Andy JacobsenConcessions General Manager, BYU Athletics +50–60% sales after the move 8 Mashgin’s comparison leaves card processing out of its own price. Even so, it concludes:
“VisioLab’s annual plan remains cheaper on price alone.”

Mashgin’s table stops at 600 sales a day; 800 and 1,000 use the same math. Mashgin’s published price without processing is $33 a day at every volume.
At 400 sales a day: $27,655 less per station, per year with the annual plan. All in, VisioLab is the cheaper station.
Mashgin only matches our annual plan if your processor charges 0.6% + $0.10 or less.
30-day month. Mashgin at its $1,000/month list price plus the processing rate you pick and $0.10 per transaction; Mashgin calls 2.5% + $0.10 typical. 1 VisioLab Growth plan, billed annually: $407/month with hardware + 1.8% + $0.03 per sale. 3 Prices checked October 20, 2026. Volume pricing available from both.
Set everything down at once. VisioLab recognizes each item right on the iPad, with no barcodes and no scanning.
Combos and time-of-day discounts apply on their own. On Enterprise plans, add-on offers show up while guests check out.
Recognition, POS, payments and promotions in one system, with sales and menus managed in VisioHub. No separate register next to it.

“We were able to do a prototype really quickly with a lot of success that ultimately led to a larger scale implementation the following season.”

Yes. Order a station online, set it up in under 10 minutes and add more once it proves itself. The Orlando Magic started with a pilot at Kia Center and rolled out from there.
Yes. Aramark, Levy and Legends run VisioLab in stadiums, arenas, campus dining and corporate cafeterias. The Orlando Magic run 65 stations at Kia Center, college football stadiums using VisioLab cut gameday wait times by 80% in the 2025 season, and across all venues VisioLab processes more than 1 million transactions a month.
At Kia Center, checkout was 72% faster than at a standard POS. At BYU, the median transaction took 11 seconds. Each item is recognized in under a second, with no barcodes and no scanning.
Yes. Guests set their whole order down at once. VisioLab recognizes each item and shows every item and its price on screen before payment. Items that look alike, such as two sizes of the same drink, appear as options so the guest taps the right one. At BYU, the biggest single checkout had 16 items.
Run a VisioLab station next to your current checkout, compare a week of transactions, then roll out. At Kia Center, 43 stations went live in under 72 hours.
Capture 5-20 photos of the new item and VisioLab retrains in 3-5 minutes. No technician, no support ticket.
At Kia Center, VisioLab reached 99.8% AI recognition accuracy across the 2025/26 season. 13 Guests see every recognized item and its price on screen before they pay.
Yes. Items in the alcohol category trigger an age check at payment. A staff member checks the guest’s ID and approves the checkout by scanning a staff QR code at the station.
Power and a network connection: Wi-Fi, cellular or a network cable all work. There is no server or back-office hardware to install.
Yes. VisioLab comes with POS and payments built in, or connects to the systems you already run. Live venues run VisioLab with payment providers such as Shift4, FreedomPay, Fiserv/Clover Sport and Adyen, with POS systems such as SkyTab Venue, and at Kia Center with the Orlando Magic’s own Magic Money.
Item recognition runs on the iPad itself, so it doesn’t depend on the venue network. For payments, a station can run on Wi-Fi, cellular or a network cable, whichever is strongest at that stand.
The camera looks straight down at the counter through a prism and captures only the items placed there, not faces or people. VisioLab doesn’t recognize people or process biometric data. Images of items are used to improve recognition, as set out in your agreement with us.
Yes. Card payments run through the PCI DSS-compliant terminal in the kit.
Phone, email and in-app chat, with 24/7 coverage for urgent and gameday issues.
Yes, on Mashgin’s own example. At 400 sales a day and a $10 cart, a station costs $98 a day on VisioLab’s annual plan and $173 on Mashgin once card processing is added. VisioLab’s fee includes processing; Mashgin’s $1,000 monthly price does not.
Yes, and unlike Mashgin’s price, ours include card processing: from 1.8% + $0.03 per sale on annual plans. Mashgin customers pay a card processor on every sale as well, on top of the $1,000 monthly price.
Only if card processing is left out. Mashgin customers pay their own processor on every sale, so their cost rises with volume too. Against VisioLab’s annual plan, the difference grows with every sale and every bigger basket.
Yes, on Enterprise terms. VisioLab can run with your existing payment provider instead of built-in payments. Talk to sales.
Either. Buy the hardware kit outright or lease it for $69 per month. Volume pricing is available for 10 or more stations.
Monthly plans can be cancelled anytime if the hardware was bought upfront. Annual plans are billed once a year, and Enterprise terms are set per contract.
Pilot length and terms are set per venue.
Mashgin details come from Mashgin’s own website, verified on October 20, 2026.
