Description

You will be part of the operational team, collaborating closely with the technical team, and playing an important role in the overall product development process. You will develop and execute experimental and automated tests and ensure that the results meet the highest software quality standards.
You will develop a good understanding of the software in order to point out sources of bugs to the developers. You will also support the Growth team in resolving issues during the rollout, either directly on-site or remotely. From the beginning, you will be responsible for ensuring that our software is working properly.

Qualification

  • You speak fluent German and English.  
  • Basic hands-on mentality and the ability to organize yourself.
  • Ideally, you bring work experience or have already completed an internship in a start-up.
  • You want to develop your professional skills instead of being bored from 8am to 5pm.
  • You enjoy tinkering with hardware.
  • You already have a project to show us your software or hardware skills.
  • Experience with Python, web development, iOS, Jamf or Google Cloud is an advantage.
  • You already live near Osnabrück or are willing to move to Osnabrück.

Your tasks

  • Manage our hardware which is required to test the interactions between our system and other devices such as cash registers, payment terminals, and scales.
  • Perform system testing of all functions: From stress testing core functions to edge case testing.
  • Ensure that a bug free product is delivered on each release cycle (2-4 weeks).
  • Be the point of contact for potential customers' IT departments and clarify system and security requirements.
  • Be the interface between the Tech and Operations teams and support two-way communication.
  • Locate issues during rollouts by having a holistic understanding of our system and associated peripheral devices (e.g. cash registers).
  • Ensure apps and OS versions are up to date and manage iPads at sites via Jamf's Mobile Device Management.
